Parmi brume et nuages/Into mist and clouds,
présenté à Archives Canada dans le cadre du Festival Haiku Canada 2009
Presentation of my book-theater, untitled "into mist and clouds". Mist and clouds are empty space,
soundless and colour free, it contains the vacuum needed to generate vastness.
In this void dwell the silent mainstream where three crosscurrents meet, musical, poetic and pictorial.
My book-theater is an inspiration of the kamishibai although the shape is not quite the same,
higher than larger, it opens with two doors.
It is a representation of a torii, the gate of a shinto temple.
Présentation d'un livre-théâtre ayant pout titre, "parmi brume et nuages".
La brume et les nuages sont les espaces vides dans les paysages chinois.
Sans couleur, ils contiennent le vacuum nécessaire
pour générer l'immensité.
Adaptation du kamishibai, il prend la fome du torii, porte d'entrée des temples shintoïstes.
Basé sur le journal de Basho, c’est le périple de mon âme que je raconte dans ce livre.

Angela thinks that there is something about the gardens which invites contemplation.
She thinks that they do not belong to the world of the everyday, but are spaces set apart.
The short poems contained in the book represent Angela Leuck's meditations on the more than thirty
gardens that she visited over the course of a Montreal summer.
Garden Meditations est le livre que j'ai fait à partir des poèmes d'Angela Leuck.
Ces poèmes ont été écrits suite aux visites qu'elle a faites pendant un été de plus
d'une trentaine de jardins à Montréal.
Pour ouvrir le livre
il faut déplacer une petite tige de métal qui est un rappel de la grille à l'entrée des jardins.
Deux billes de cuivre suggèrent une clochette pour faire ouvrir le portail.
Et ainsi doucement vous pouvez avoir accès à la méditation d'Angela
et déambuler dans sa poésie de tanka.
Mon travail a donc été de créer un cadre pour mettre en valeur sa poésie.
Pour créer mes estampes, bien que je me sers de nouvelles technologies,
je demeure habitée par l’esprit de la gravure.
